(pics inside) 310 pound NFL Lineman to 230 pound Personal Trainer - My Story

Published: Sat, 06/10/23

So - you may know my story if you've followed my email newsletter for any length of time:

I played pro football in the early / mid 2000s.... I was an offensive lineman, at a playing weight of 310 pounds:

I kicked around the NFL for a couple of years, had stints with the Packers and the Chiefs...

...then, after a knee injury, two surgeries, a hand injury, another surgery... getting cut in training
camp in Kansas City... I weighed my options and decided to hang up the cleats.

Quickly though, I got out of shape!

I was all of a sudden 300+ pounds, but NOT in a good way :)

I had to go back to the drawing board on my workouts (this is roughly the time I got into kettlebells!)...

...I also had to go back to the drawing board on the nutrition, BIG time.

I was used to eating MASSIVE amounts of food to gain and maintain weight.

Now I wanted to be lean and healthy.

It was quite the process!!

I did however get down about 70 pounds in around 7 months, and have stayed there (and even gotten a little
leaner) over the last 20 years.

One thing though that I think was KEY to my transformation, and keeping it, was learning healthy recipes.

Recipes that I actually enjoyed and would cook for a period of time.

Recipes that were easy to prep.

That's how I'm still able to maintain a pretty decent level of condition to this day:

If you are looking for a book of recipes so that you can also lose fat and keep it off, check out this resource:

-->> Metabolic Cooking Recipes

This is a compilation of 250+ recipes that are easy to prep, that taste great, and will get you lean and stay there!

Eating for fat loss is challenging, there is no question.

Otherwise, everyone would be ripped!! :)

However, I believe that one of the keys is learning a couple of dozen recipes that you like to eat and that will help
you reach your goals.

Here's to eating food you actually enjoy, plus getting and staying lean in the process -
