"Ninja Bod" (big arms / squishy belly)

I've heard it called the "Ninja Bod":

It hides well, until the clothes come off.

Ouch!

When I first heard this term a couple of years ago, I felt personally called out!!!! :)

Although I lost a good 60-70 pounds from my peak, NFL offensive lineman days...

...walking around every day, I was still the "big guy", that was generally muscular and in shape...

...but not really lean and ripped.

Last year, for my 40th birthday, I wanted to change that!

So I focused in on the nutrition, I focused in on the training, and I made it happen.

I'm now about 20 pounds down from where I was in 2020, hovering around 11 percent bodyfat, and I feel great.

Not easy at first, but a lot easier to maintain, and I think well worth the effort!

It is a combination of factors, FOR SURE... nutrition probably being the biggest one.

But on the training side, I think focusing and prioritizing ab training made a big difference too.

Not just training the abs as an afterthought, but doing several dedicated workouts for them each week.

At the end of the day, if you're ready and motivated to get into not just good / decent shape, but excellent shape - I say go for it!

It's something you'll be proud of, and it carries over to all other areas of your life.

Get your nutrition dialed in, be consistent with the workouts.

And don't forget to train those abs!
