green juice hype 🧉

I do "nutrition audits" with clients every week.Â
We figure out their calorie and macro targets in detail...
...then we see what a typical day of eating looks like for them, and depending on their goals, we work out some easy things they can do to improve starting immediately.Â
One area where most people fall short is in getting enough fruits and veggies.Â
Many people eat ZERO, or maybe one or two servings each day.
Thing is, the USDA recommends that adult women eat 2.5 cups of veggies a day, while adult men should eat 3 cups. When it comes to fruit, the USDA recommends women age 19 to 30 eat 2 cups daily, while women 31 and older need only 1.5 cups. Adult men of all ages should aim for 2 cups of fruit a day.
So what can a person do?
One easy way to get your body started on getting the vegetables and fruits it needs is with a green juice.
Now, you've probably seen green juice all over Instagram and health blogs... but the question is, is it really worth the hype?
Well - everything considered, my personal opinion is that if YOU fall into the category of not getting enough fruits and veggies yourself, you should consider giving it a try!
Here are three reasons why:
1- You’re probably not getting enough veggies in your diet. And even if you are, there’s a good chance that you’re not getting all the nutrients your body needs from them.
2 - Green juice is a great way to get a lot of nutrients in one drink. Green juice is packed with vitamins and minerals that can help boost your health.
3 - Green juice just plain tastes good. Many people enjoy the taste of green juice, and it’s a great way to start your day or to refuel after a workout.
All this being said, green juice is not a substitute for a balanced diet. The best way to ensure you’re getting all the nutrients your body needs is to eat a variety of healthy foods.
However, if you know that you typically fall short on daily fruits and veggies… if you travel frequently and have a hard time eating healthy consistently… if you just like the idea of supplementing your diet and being sure that you’re covering all your bases… it’s something to consider giving a try!
I’ve tried a lot of different green juice brands, and my current favorite is Organifi. It’s high quality, has a great track record, is backed by solid customer service, and tastes great too! Details and special pricing here: -> Organifi Green Juice for Body Reset and Stress Support
