1 – What first drove you to create your Over 40 Alpha Fat Loss system?

Great question.

I’m 50 years old now, but when I turned 40, I struggled with being overweight, having a puffy, pudge muscle look. I had a big belly, no energy, my libido was out of whack, started to get joint pain and my mood was always low.

Even though I was running fitness boot camps, lifting weights 6 times per week and doing long cardio after my workouts, I had ballooned up to a whopping 215-pound puff ball. (that was huge for me)

I could not understand why I wasn’t getting results from the same things that was keeping lean and athletic in my early 30s.

So I went to my doctors for a yearly physical and he came back to tell me that my Testosterone levels were low and that it was more than likely why I had gained weight, had no sex drive and wasn’t getting any results in the gym.

He offered to put me on Testosterone Replacement Therapy, but I promptly refused…there was NO WAY you can get my on that stuff!

That’ll put a permanent stop to my testosterone production and a massive hole in my wallet.

So I did a ton of research, read a bunch of studies, talked to hormone specialists and through trial and error put together a new training and nutrition program for myself to help increase my testosterone levels naturally while I burned belly fat and lost weight.

And after 6 months of using my system, I transform my body from a puffy 215 pounds of puffy muscle to 185lbs lean and ripped and over the past 10 years has been able to naturally maintain his lean ripped body, health and youthfulness.

I kept it under wraps for many years, using it only for myself, until a couple years ago when I had a health scare that forced me on Testosterone killing and weight gaining prescription drugs, I had to really put it to the test and my program got me through my illness, kept my Testosterone levels high and kept me lean through the process

3 – What exercise methods have you studied and how do they influence your work?

The number one exercise method that I have studied and used over 10 years is metabolic training which is perfect for burning fat while building lean muscle. My years of research and implementation has actually allowed me to develop a Metabolic Conditioning Coach Certification for Trainers, Coaches and Gym Owners through NESTA which is a professional health, fitness and coaching association that offers specialized certifications.

I’ve also specialized as an MMA Conditioning Coach for MMA, Martial Arts and Combat Sports and have trained professional fighters in all major organization including the UFC, Bellator and ONE Fighting Championships

I’m also a Kettlebell Specialist and include KBs in a lot of my programs

4 – What type of results have individuals experienced with your program? Could you provide a few examples?

Sure, let me hook you up with two workouts…one bodyweight only and the other using a set of dumbbells

Workout #1

Bodyweight Cardio Shred Workout

The first workout is a bodyweight cardio circuit that also focuses on fat loss, bodyweight strength endurance.  We are using bodyweight only exercises and metabolic training protocol to ensure that we burn calories during and after the workout while we build some baseline strength and muscle.

Perform as many reps as possible of each exercise for 30 seconds of work followed by 30 seconds rest. Complete 2 total rounds, one-minute rest in between

  1. Jumping Jacks
  2. Wide Grip Push Ups
  3. Forward Lunges
  4. Abs Bicycles
  5. Burpees (No Jump)
  6. Plank
  7. Bodyweight Squats
  8. Mountain Climbers

Workout #2

Total Body Shred Workout

This is a total body workout uses dumbbells to help build lean muscle and burn calories at the same time

Perform as many reps as possible of each exercise for 30 seconds of work followed by 15 second rest one after the other with no rest in between.  Once you complete all exercises, rest for one minute and repeat for 3 total rounds

After you complete all 5 exercises, rest for 1 minute and repeat for 3 rounds

  2. DB Goblet Squats
  3. DB Shoulder Press
  4. DB Reverse Lunge
  5. DB Biceps Curls
  6. DB Bent Over Row
