My colleague Todd gets a lot of shocked looks at the gym from guys who don’t know him.
Sure, he looks strong and fit when they see him walk in.
However, these guys aren’t prepared to see him putting two and and even three times the amount of weight on the bar as what they would expect for his size ...
To Todd, it just seems normal.
His only goal when he trains is to get as strong and powerful as possible, without putting on “excess” muscle mass that will slow him down or reduce his agility.
It’s just something that was ingrained in him from working tactical teams for almost 30 years.
